Archie has been designed and field-tested by archaeologists in real-world excavations for five years. It is scalable from small projects with a single excavator to hundreds of concurrent users with millions of recorded artifacts. Artifact entries are stored in plain text, can be exported to CSV format, and can have photos, video, or 3d scans attached. Archie is also light-weight and portable; the server can run on older hardware or low power devices such as netbooks.

It is our philosophy that the pursuit of science should be an open process. To further that goal we have made Archie an open source product. Feel free to download it and give it a try.

If you have any questions or would like to try out the live demo, please contact us at contact@archiedb.com.
